Accounting Officer (Full-Time) – Athens | Quantum BITS

Quantum BITS, an accounting and IT services company with more than 10 years of experience in the Greek market, is looking for an Accounting Officer to join our Athens team.

The role

You will join our Accounting and Tax Services team and contribute to day-to-day accounting work and client support. We provide structured training, with the opportunity to take on more responsibility as you grow into the role.

What you’ll do

• Maintain accounting records, enter invoices and other documents, and complete monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare VAT returns and other periodic filings, including VIES, myDATA, withholding tax forms and social security obligations.
• Support payroll processes.
• Communicate with public authorities and external organisations, including AADE and GEMI, as well as with clients.
• Help prepare accounting and budget reports with guidance from the supervising accountant.
• Work closely with the team to complete tasks accurately and on time.

What we’re looking for

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in an accounting firm or company finance department.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• A responsible, dependable approach to deadlines.
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work well as part of a team.
• A willingness to keep learning and develop professionally.
• Confidence using digital tools, or a strong interest in learning them.

• Gross salary range: €950–€1,300, depending on experience and qualifications.
